Day 1: Danang Arrival - Hoi An Walking Tour (Meals: None)
Upon arrival at Danang airport, our driver will welcome at airport lobby, holding your name board and transfer you to hotel in Hoi An.
Around 02.00 PM in the afternoon, our guide will pick you up at your hotel and we will start exploring the Hoi An Ancient Town on foot. Hoi An town is a former port that welcomed Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants between the 16th to 18th centuries. In the tour we will visit several famous landmarks including Chua Ong Pagoda, Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, to see the Jinshang Temple which is dedicated to the goddess of the sea and the protector of sailors. From there it’s a short walk to Tam Ky House, a 200 year old ancestral house and finally, stroll across the often photographed 17th century covered bridge built by Japanese craftsmen. The beautifully built bridge doubles as a temple and is a major landmark of Hoi An. Walk on foot back to your hotel and overnight in Hoi An.
Day 2: Hoi An - Biking to Tra Que – Farming & Fishing activities in Cam Thanh Village (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch)
Today, we will take you to Tra Que and Cam thanh villages, located next to Thu Bon river, with a lush Nipa forest spread over an area of several hundred hectares and hundreds of hidden channels tangled beneath the broad leaves, was the refuge for VC the war. Nowadays, visitors can not only enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery, but also have the opportunity to unite with the warm and peaceful life for these villagers.
Around 08.30 Am, our guide will see you at hotel lobby and we will departure by bicycle to Tra Que. A nice visits on road to Chuc Thanh Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hoi an, built in 1671 by a Chinese bronze. Continue our biking trip to Tra Que village, crossing by peaceful rice field and beautiful scenery of local villages, we will arrival at a local house.
The host, Ms Chinh, a local farmer will welcome us and tells us the story of her family, her village, presents the work of the gardeners. Walk on the village trail to see the activities of gardeners: raking the soft earth, fertilization algae, vegetable growing, watering ... We then will continue our bike excursion to Cam Thanh Village with several stops for photos on the beautiful pasage and farmers operating in the fields.
Around noon, embarking on a sampan bamboo basket that takes you through the mangrove forest: rowing competition, the practice of fishing technique crapes nipa in the forest ... A little rest in a fisherman’s house of Mr. Phong, with welcome green tea, a nice walk or bike in the village to see the manufacturing of roofing sheets nipa villagers, the daily activities of fishermen: radoubages fishing nets, boat redoub, preparation of materials before a long trip on the sea ...
Enjoy your relaxing foot massage with medicinal herbs and traditional therapeutic practices are effective by strengthening your health after a long ride. The host then prepare for your lunch with his family Bacbercue with fish, shrimp, sauteed vegetables .... A little relaxation under the shade of nipas and we will bike back to Hoi An town. Transfer back to Hoi An town and drop you off at your hotel around 03.00 PM. Free at leisure on the rest of the day. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 3: Hoi An - My Son Sanctuary - Half Day (Meals: None)
Around 08.00 Am your private guide and car will pick you up at your hotel and transfer 40km to My Son Sanctuary. My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating from the 4th to 13th centuries. With an expert guide, tour the ancient capital of the Champa Kingdom, considered one of the most stunning landmarks in the Hoi An region. When you reach the UNESCO World Heritage site, follow your guide on a walking tour around the impressive tower-temples — remains of the political and religious capital of the Champa Kingdom. By the 13th century, more than 70 similar temples had been built, establishing My Son as a sanctuary of Hinduism in the Champa Kingdom. As you marvel at sandstone bas-reliefs depicting scenes from Hindu mythology, learn about the My Son civilization’s devotion to Hindu deities like Krishna, Vishnu and Shiva. After exploring the delights of My Son Sanctuary with fascinating commentary from your guide, we will transfer by car back to Hoi An town. Arrive back to Hoi An, we will drop you off at your hotel in Hoi an. Free at leisure on the rest of the day.
Optional Activity: Afternoon Boat Excursion and Biking in Kim Bong Tradition Carpentry Village
On the way back to Hoi An from My Son, we will stop at Cao Lau Boat Station, the boat brings you to Kim Bong where the descendants of four gifted crafting families have been perfecting their skills since the 15th century. Hop on a bicycle for a guided tour of the village shipbuilding yard, temples, and workshops. Admire the fine craftsmanship practiced at Kim Bong such as: mats weaving & coracle boats making, and pass through scenic countryside with paddy fields and a bamboo bridge. Transfer by boat back to Bach Dang Pier in Hoi An and from here walk on foot back to your hotel.
Day 4: Hoi An - Hai Van Pass - Hue city (Meals: Lunch)
At 07.00 Am, our guide and private car will pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An city and transfer to Hue City for our full day visit. The ride is about 136 km and about 3.5 hours. If the weather permits, we will take the road through the legendary Hai Van Pass. The Hai Van pass offers breathtaking scenery of mountain and ocean, a perfect opportunity for photograph.
Arrive at Hue City, we will visit Minh Mang tomb, possibly the best of the lot, situated inside a wall and covering several hectares. Woodland and water make it a very relaxing place to be- Minh Mang was definitely a country boy at heart! The main buildings are arranged on an east-west axis, including a courtyard surrounded by warrior statues and several temples and pavilions. Several bridges cross two lakes before the axis ends before the vast burial mound.
We then visit Khai Dinh tomb, dating from 1925, this is the best preserved of the lot and, while comparatively compact, quite grand at first sight. While it follows the classic formula of forecourts leading up to the tomb of the Emperor, complete with statues in attendance, architecture buffs will spot some European influences. The tomb itself is completely over the top with incredibly detailed and opulent mosaics of cavorting dragons. After studying the secret stories behind the tomb, we'll drive back to the city center with some stopovers at the conical hat and incense sticks village to know about handicraft villages in Hue. Enjoy lunch with Vietnamese set menu at local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Royal Citadel – the UNESCO heritage site, one of the best places in Hue to experience the history, culture and rhythms of the Vietnamese Royal life in the past. Our experience tour guide will introduce to you not only history but also fascinating story about royal life. Tour ends in Hue City where you can stay overnight or carry on further routes. Our car will drop you off at center of Hue city around 06.00 PM. Overnight in Hue city.
Day 5: Hue Departure (Meals: Breakfast)
After breakfast at hotel, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Phu Bai airport for your departure flight leaving Vietnam. End of services.
