10 DAYS VIETNAM IN LUXURY
DAY 01: HANOI ARRIVAL (Meals: Dinner)
Upon arrival in Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by local guide and transfer you to your hotel in Hanoi that is Vietnam's capital, ranks amongst the world's most attractive and interesting cities. It was first the capital of Vietnam in A.D. 1010, and though the nation's capital moved to Hue under the Nguyen dynasty in 1802, the city continued to flourish after the French took control in 1888. In 1954, after the French departed, Hanoi was declared Vietnam's capital once again. The remnants of over 1,000 years of history are still visible here, with that of the past few hundred years wonderfully preserved. After checking in hotel, experience one hour cyclo ride, a great way to admire street life and the city’s beautiful architecture on our way to the fascinating Old Quarter - 36 ancient streets where peddlers continue to trade as they have done for centuries. Then you are free at leisure. There’s plenty to do and see or you may choose to find a spot on the lakeside and just watch the world go by - Hanoi is a truly unique city. In the evening you can choose from one of the many restaurants near Hoan Kiem lake or in the Old Quarter. Hanoi is also a fascinating city to enjoy an alfresco drink. Overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 02: HANOI CITY TOUR (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After having a breakfast at your hotel, driver & tour guide pick you up at hotel and start your full day city tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex consisted of Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed Monday and Friday year-round and throughout September to November), Ba Dinh square, Presidential Palace (Outside Only), Uncle Ho’s House on stilt, One pillar pagoda. Then visit Quan Thanh Temple which is one of the Four Guards of Old Thang Long (Old name of Hanoi City) and is an important historical and cultural relic. Walking 500 meters is Tran Quoc Pagoda which is the oldest pagoda constructed in the sixth century during the reign of Emperor Ly Nam De and its location is on a small, beautiful islet and bounded by West Lake (Lung of the City). In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature - Vietnam's first university, was built in 1076. Throughout its hundreds of years of activity in the feudal, thousands of Vietnamese scholars graduated from this university. And sightseeing Hoan Kiem Lake (The Lake of the Restored Sword) included Thap But (Pencil Tower), Dai Nghien (Ink Pot) and specially Ngoc Son (Jade Mountain) Temple sat on an island at the North end of Hoan Kiem Lake and is connected to the mainland by a bright red The Huc (Morning Sunlight) Bridge. Enjoy a performance of the renowned Water Puppet Theatre — an ancient Vietnamese form of entertainment, which enables the puppeteers to control their active marionettes by levers hidden under the water. Water puppet skits generally enact ancient folklore and legends that are rural in origin, and the theme of water is often present, as it defines so much of Vietnam’s landscape. Drive back to your hotel and overnight in Hanoi.
DAY 03: HANOI – HALONG BAY OVERNIGHT ON JUNK (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner on Junk)
After having a breakfast at your hotel, you will be greeted by local guide picked you up and transfer to Ha Long Bay. Drive through green rice paddy fields to Ha Long Bay where is located in East Hanoi about 170 kilometers (approximate 3,5 hours). Arrive at Halong Bay wharf, you will be met by our crew who escort you on board the Paloma Junk and serve welcome drinks.
You then check into your cabin and we begin cruising into Halong Bay. Have lunch in the restaurant while you enjoy the stunning views of the Bay. In the early afternoon we arrive at Vong Vieng floating fishing village and drop anchor. Our guide will give you some information and interesting facts about this fascinating village and its local community.
We disembark and travel on the sampans rowed by the local people. They will be your guides through their fishing village where you can meet the locals, visit the school and pearl farms. See first-hand what life is like living on the water. Back on board we head for the calm waters of the lagoons and beaches for swimming and relaxing on deck or pamper yourself with a massage and sauna in our luxurious spa.
DAY 04: HALONG BAY (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body and there is no better environment to practice this than amongst the limestone peaks and islands.
- Breakfast, coffee, tea served.
- Transfer to smaller boat to explore Day and Night cave and pearl farm. Guided kayaking, swimming, a pristine natural cave lapped by the turquoise water
Lunch is served on board
- Discover Ba Trai Dao (three peaks islet) or sunbathe on one of the natural secluded beaches (private, wild and fresh air). You also can take kayaking, swimming or snorkeling
- Return to your cruise, take time to refresh and relax
- Take an opportunity to refresh and then join friends for a pre-dinner drink in the bar.
- Dinner is served in the restaurant or outdoor dining area if the weather is permitted, which is a gastronomic delight. After dinner, unwind in the bar where there is a selection of books, magazines and board games or watch a movie on our plasma TV; join some of our team to go cuttle fishing at night. Accommodation and overnight on junk.
DAY 05: HALONG BAY – HANOI (Meals: Brunch on Junk, Dinner)
For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck or take the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of a Halong Bay sunrise. After breakfast we set sail for Bo Hon Island. Disembark and visit (Sung Sot) Surprise Cave. It is one of the largest grottoes in Halong Bay with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites.
An early lunch is made available to enjoy while we head back to Halong wharf on another scenic route. We arrive back at the wharf at 12 noon for our drive back to your hotel in Hanoi arriving at 5.pm. Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 06: HANOI – HOA LU – TAM COC – BAI DINH PAGODA (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Driver & Tour guide pick you up at your hotel and drive to Ninh Binh Province which is located in South Hanoi about 95 kilometers (approximate 2 hours) for visiting Tam Coc which means Three Caves and known as "Ha Long Bay on the rice paddies". This area is famous for its breathtaking scenery, where dramatic limestone formations rise sharply out of green rice paddies and wetlands. Embark on a small, hand rowed sampan, and begin your journey along green waterways. You will pass under a sequence of three caves - Hang Ca, Hang Giua and Hang Coi - as your boat glides past green rice fields and lotus ponds. Have lunch at local restaurant. Continue your trip to Bai Dinh Spirit Culture Area where you visit a famous pagoda for its great size and imposingness. The pagoda will be also set more record for the owner of the most Arhat Statues in ASEAN with 500 Arhat statues made of stone and stand higher than human’s head. Drive back to Hanoi and drop off at your hote
Day 07: HANOI – SAIGON (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After have a breakfast at hotel then transfer to Noi Bai international airport for your fight to Saigon. Upon arrival in Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be greeted by local guide and transfer you to your hotel in Saigon - a vibrant metropolis, Saigon teems with energy, activity and motion. Everywhere you look, you see the meeting of traditional and modern life. The emerging modern skyline stands cheek by jowl with colonial buildings and traditional temples. Outside on the streets, young professionals zip by on motorcyles, chatting on cellphones; inside the quiet temple courtyards, worshippers pray amidst clouds of incense. Take a short orientation tour includes a quick visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office. Strolling along Dong Khoi Street, formerly known as the Rue Catinat, the main shopping thoroughfare and heart of old colonial Saigon, passing by classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City Hall (Hotel De Ville), the old OPERA HOUSE (both may only be viewed from the outside). China Town (Cholon) - the sprawling, densely packed Cholon retains a traditional Asian feeling, unlike the more modern Saigon city center. Explore the highlights of this fascinating area, beginning with a visit to Thien Hau Temple, build by the Cantonese congregation and dedicated to the heavenly goddess. Continue to visit Binh Tay Market, the vast wholesale market selling every kind of good from dried foods to T shirts to electronics. The remainder your day is at leisure. It’s a great city to explore at night, lots of bars and great restaurants...you’ll be spoilt for choice! Overnight in Saigon.
DAY 08: SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNEL (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After having a breakfast at your hotel, take a half-day tour with the main sites of Saigon including the Reunification Palace where the South finally fell to North Vietnamese troops in 1975; War Remnant Museum which comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam- American War. Inside are detailed photographic exhibitions; outside is a collection of tanks, planes and weapons. A powerful experience, this museum is guaranteed to provoke strong emotions. Then drive to the famous Cu Chi tunnels - an incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels, over 250km in length and up to three levels deep in places, played a huge part in the Viet Cong’s victory over the Americans, allowing them to control a large rural area surrounding Ho Chi Minh City. Today, some of the remaining tunnels have been opened to tourists, offering a unique insight into what underground life must have been like during the ‘American’ war. Drive back to Saigon for overnight.
DAY 09: SAIGON – BEN TRE (Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After having a breakfast at hotel, you will be met by your guide at your hotel and depart Saigon City for a scenic morning drive through the Mekong Delta. At My Tho, take a boat to an orchard garden. Enjoy a brief walk on the island, trying some tropical fruits grown in the region. Boat along green and empty creek before experience horse cart. Stop at local family to visit bee farm. Sipping Vietnamese tea mixed with bee honey and lemons. Enjoy the Mekong beauty and quietness when rowing sampan through narrow water coconut- creek. After lunch at local restaurant, visit a family-run business making coconut candies. Before returning to My Tho, visit the 150 year old Vinh Trang Pagoda combines Vietnamese Khmer and French architecture which reflects the religion and history of the land. Drive back to Saigon for overnight.
DAY 10: SAI GON DEPARTURE (Meals: Breakfast)
After having a breakfast at hotel then free at your leisure until to transfer to airport for your departure
